Calculating pot odds

Here is a question I'm struggling with. Let's say that a flop gives me a flush draw. The pot is $100 and you are heads up. I bet $50 and my opponent raises to $125. The pot is now $275. How do I calculate the pot odds here? Do I consider now that they're 3.66 to 1 (another $75 to make to $275) or should I really consider that I'm paying $125 to make $225 which really gives me odds of 1.8 to 1? May be that's a stupid question but I can't figure out for sure which is the correct answer so any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your input.

Make calculations based on the amount needed to call - in this case another $75 into the $275 pot. New money at the decision point is the numerator. All the money in the pot up to the decision point is the denominator. Mnemonic device for remembering this is: New = Numerator, Dead = Denominator

That's what I've been doing but I wasn't sure, so thank you for the help on that
