Interesting idea and I'd be up for it other than for the timing. An 11pm start where I am would take me way into the wee hours of the morning if I played (and didn't bust early). Maybe one with an earlier start time?

I like the thought of getting some competition going among a group of us so we can all push each other to get better. The single biggest thing I think this site is missing is an active community. Software and bots are fine but I think the best training players can get is through interacting with other players. Right now, there seems to be half a dozen active posters here. Not enough to achieve a critical mass where ideas and strategies could be put forward and robustly debated.

Was watching an Alexander Fitzgerald video yesterday and one of the most important things he said was key to succeeding was surrounding yourself with like-minded people. I think this is true, for poker and for everything else. Aspiring poker players would do better within a community of poker players rather than on their own. We need people to challenge our ideas and make us think.

Warlock I agree... nice if we have more community. I have no poker friends other than APT people. I wish more people join into the forum things like I HAVE A PLAN
I see so many people read them wow... but few comment and join in, I get private messages of some stuff and wonder why no say public

No be SHY, i am brand new... maybe if you and Highfive no make things that technical maybe scare new people?

    How about this?
Mr. Blay make a poker playing table, where any member could drop-in and play anytime... a cash game thing... Warlock could say "its Friday lets play some cards at 5pm who down for that?"
could be lots of chat, fellowship and fun?

@krista = I looked at the schedule and it looks like they have the starting times posted in military time, so 11:00 is 11am, not 11pm (8am PST not 8pm). That's fine for me but may be too early for you. The $55 1M guaranteed event would start at 7am PST. Again, I can easily do this but you'd have to crawl out of bed very early :)

Actually, never mind. US players can't access Pokerstars for real money. We can do something on Betonline or Ignition (most of us anyway depending on state). The US couldn't figure out how to tax online poker after Black Friday so decided to make it hard for us to play for money. Its a real shame, especially since they are in the process of legalizing sports betting.

@krista said: "you wrong is in my time 10pm see..... (PT is pacific time)"

I was wrong? Can't be. I was already wrong once this month and what are the odds of it happening twice? LOL.

Being serious for a moment - I looked at the schedule again and the start times do appear to be in military format. That would make 11:00 11am, like 16:00 is 4pm (in whatever time zone you are using). The latest start time I saw listed was for 17:00 or 5pm. Just want you to be sure you don't make a mistake and miss out. I did that once and it was not fun.
