I live in an area where online gambling is illegal. I was hoping to find a way to play online outside of APT in one of the countless poker sites, however, in the non-cash games I find that most of the players are choosing downright unintelligible actions because they have nothing at stake (preflop all-ins with any two cards, rampant unarticulable re-raises, pots that go from $5 to $100K with 5+ callers, etc). Clearly this is seemingly a poor use of time to play these games.
Has anyone been fortunate to an online non-cash poker site where the players are more serious? I've already tried PokerStars, WSOP, and several of the social media hosted sites without success. Or maybe I am just not locating the right games at the right stakes?
Thanks,

I have yet to find an online game where the players take it seriously, unless it is for real money. And even then, it is somewhat governed by the specific stakes. I do like the tournaments on APT, when I get a chance to play them. But playing against the bots is, to me, a much more realistic game experience than playing against real people who have nothing on the line.
